NOTICE TO OWNERS OF LAND AFFECTED BY A PROPOSED DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT LOCATED IN TROY TOWNSHIP, WOOD COUNTY, OHIO STONY RIDGE ROAD DITCH #2496 (Pursuant to O.R.C. 6131) You are hereby notified that a petition has been filed with the Board of County Commissioners of Wood County, Ohio, to locate, clean, remove brush, debris and obstruction from, construct, reconstruct, straighten, deepen, widen, alter, box, tile, fill, wall, or arch any ditch, drain, watercourse, floodway, creek, run, or river, to change the course, location, or terminus thereof, to construct a levee, wall, embankment, jetty, dike, dam, sluice, revetment, reservoir, holding basin, control gate, or other structure for control of water. The petition states that the construction of said improvement is necessary and will be conducive to the public welfare. The following is the course and termini of the proposed improvement: Main Branch - Commencing at the southeast corner of Road Tract 34, Town 6 North, Range 12 East, Troy Township, Wood County, Ohio, said corner being on the centerline of Five Point Road and on the west line of Road Tract 35; thence, SOUTH, approximately 1610 feet, along the west line of Road Tract 35; thence, EAST, approximately 24 feet, to the upper end of an existing ditch and the Point of Beginning of the following described watercourse: thence, EAST, approximately 1280 feet, to an angle point of the ditch near the west side of Stony Ridge Road; thence, SOUTH, approximately 2479 feet, along and near the west side of Stony Ridge Road, to the Point of Terminus at Ditch Number 12-A. Branch No. 1 - Commencing at the southeast corner of Road Tract 34, Town 6 North, Range 12 East, Troy Township, Wood County, Ohio, said corner being on the centerline of Five Point Road and on the west line of Road Tract 35; thence, SOUTH, approximately 1610 feet, along the west line of Road Tract 35; thence, EAST, approximately 24 feet, to the upper end of an existing ditch; thence, EAST, approximately 1280 feet, to an angle point of the ditch near the west side of Stony Ridge Road; thence, NORTHEAST, approximately 153 feet, to an existing catch basin on the east side of Stony Ridge Road, said catch basin being the upper end of an existing enclosed pipe and being the Point of Beginning of the following described watercourse: thence, NORTH, approximately 764 feet, to an existing catch basin: thence, WEST, approximately 39 feet, to an existing catch basin on the west side of Stony Ridge Road; thence, SOUTH, approximately 905 feet, to the Point of Terminus at the main branch of the ditch (described above). This is notice that the Board of County Commissioners of Wood County, Ohio, has fixed the following dates, times and locations to view the proposed improvement and to hold the first hearing to consider the Wood County Engineer's preliminary report: VIEW - October 28, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the office of the County Commissioners', Fifth Floor, County Office Building, One Courthouse Square, Bowling Green FIRST HEARING - December 9, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in the office of the CountyCommissioners', Fifth Floor, County Office Building, One Courthouse Square, Bowling Green If the improvement is approved and constructed, all costs of engineering, construction, and future maintenance will be assessed to the benefiting parcels of land. An owner may file, not more than twenty-one days after the date of the view, an amendment to the petition that expands the length of the proposed improvement, provided that such amendment does not expand the area to be benefited by the proposed improvement. You may comment on the proposed improvement in writing before or in person at the public hearings on the petition. An amendment to the petition or any written comments on the proposed amendment of the petition shall be submitted to the Wood County Board of Commissioners, One Courthouse Square, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
