NOTICE TO OWNERS OF LAND AFFECTED BY PROPOSED HAMMER ROAD DITCH #2488 IMPROVEMENT LOCATED IN PERRY TOWNSHIP, WOOD COUNTY, OHIO (Pursuant to O.R.C. 6131) You are hereby notified that the Wood County Engineer filed in the office of the Wood County Commissioners, the maps, profiles, schedules and reports in the above named improvement as petitioned to locate, clean, remove brush, debris and obstructions from, construct, reconstruct, straighten, deepen, widen, alter, box, tile, fill, wall, or arch any ditch, drain, watercourse, floodway, creek, run, or river, to change the course, location, or terminus thereof, to construct a levee, wall, embankment, jetty, dike, dam, sluice, revetment, reservoir, holding basin, control gate, breakwater, or other structure for control of water. The petition states that the construction of said improvement is necessary and will be conducive to the public welfare. The following is the course and termini of the proposed improvement: Being the course of an existing ditch situated in Section 12, 13, and 24, Town 3 North, Range 12 East, Perry Township, Wood County, Ohio and described as follows: Commencing at the southeast corner of the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 13, being on the centerline of Hammer Road; thence, southerly, approximately 247 feet, along the centerline of Hammer Road; thence, easterly, approximately 20 feet, to the southerly end of the centerline of an existing easterly roadside ditch of Hammer Road, said southerly end being the POINT OF BEGINNING of the proposed ditch improvement; thence, northerly, approximately 2,152 feet, along the centerline of the ditch, to the southerly end of a culvert under Eagleville Road; thence, northerly, approximately 3,356 feet, along the centerline of the culvert under Eagleville Road and continuing along the centerline of the ditch, to the southerly end of a culvert under Switzer Road; thence, northerly, approximately 2,636 feet, along the centerline of the culvert under Switzer Road and continuing along the centerline of the ditch, to the easterly end of a culvert under Hammer Road; thence, westerly, approximately 1,279 feet, along the centerline of the culvert under Hammer Road and continuing along the centerline of the ditch, to a point of deflection; thence, northerly, approximately 1,373 feet, continuing along the centerline of the ditch, to the intersection of a centerline of an east-west ditch, said intersection being the TERMINUS POINT of the proposed ditch improvement. Being a total distance of 10,796 feet, more or less, or 2.04 miles, more or less. The legal description is based upon the assumption the easterly line of the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 13, Town 3 North, Range 12 East, Perry Township, bears NORTH.
