City of Bowling Green ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS LEGAL NOTICE August 6, 2025 The following items will be discussed at the August 13, 2025 meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals. The Board will meet in the City Administrative Services Building at 305 North Main Street, Bowling Green, Ohio at 7:00 p.m. on the above date. VARIANCE REQUESTS Matthew Grimes, 707 North Main Street, has requested a variance to allow the construction of a 30 foot by 24 foot addition (attached garage), which would encroach 14 feet into the required 20 foot rear yard setback to the west (zoned PR Pedestrian- Residential District). Ali Bukhres, on behalf of QuikTrip, has requested the following variances to allow for the construction of the following signage at 120 Freeway Court (zoned IC Interstate Commerce District): One (1) 229 square foot, 80 feet tall pylon sign, which is not a permitted sign type in Section 150.84 Sign Regulations Table and would exceed the 112 square feet maximum size allowed. One (1) 108 square foot, 22 foot tall pylon sign (truck scale sign), which is not a permitted sign type in Section 150.84 Sign Regulations Table. One (1) 184 square feet wall sign, which would exceed the 112 square feet maximum size allowed. One (1) 14 square foot wayfinding sign, which would exceed the maximum size of 3 square feet and the maximum height of 3 feet. One (1) 38 square foot, 6 feet 8 and 1/2 inch tall monument sign, two (2) canopy signs (20 square feet each), two (2) wall signs (20 square feet each), which are in compliance with the Sign Regulations. However, all signs in total would exceed the maximum number of 3 signs allowed per business by 6 signs (for a total of 9 signs) and would exceed the 336 square foot maximum total sum of all signs by 317 square feet (total sum of 653 square feet).
