RESOLUTION NO. 3880 Passed April 21, 2025 RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE BOWLING GREEN SCHOOL SYSTEM AND SPECIFICALLY THE LEVY ON THE MAY 6TH BALLOT WHEREAS, one of the most important characteristics of a community is its school system; and WHEREAS, the quality of life, sense of belonging, identification with the community, educational outcomes, and all-around development of children, as well as the economic growth and the appeal of the community, are all significantly impacted and molded by the life and vitality of the schools; and WHEREAS, public appreciation, support, and involvement with their school(s) deepens a sense of community, contributes to the well-being of the schools, children; and WHEREAS, all members of Bowling Green are better off when the Bowling Green public school system is healthy. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWLING GREEN, OHIO THAT: SECTION 1: The Council of the City of Bowling Green, on behalf of the government and the citizens of this municipality, supports the Bowling Green school system and strongly encourages each citizen to support the schools. SECTION 2: The Bowling Green City Council recognizes and respects each citizen's responsibility to research and vote accordingly. SECTION 3: With all of the above in mind, Bowling Green City Council encourages and recommends that each citizen vote FOR the proposed public-school levy issue on the May 6, 2025 ballot. SECTION 4: This resolution shall take effect at the earliest time permitted by law.
