PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT (Ohio Revised Code Section 153.67) The Office of the Wood County Engineer, Ohio, will be receiving Statements of Qualifications from engineering firms for services to perform 2024 Bridge Load Ratings until 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025. Project Description: Statements of Qualifications shall include, but are not limited to, information regarding the firm’s technical expertise, experience and a list of personnel who will be assigned to the project. The firm must be ODOT prequalified, and load ratings must be stamped by a Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio. The project includes load rating various types of bridges in the AASHTO BrR software for all current ODOT legal loads, AASHTO trucks and emergency vehicles. The final submittal shall include a stamped load rating summary sheet and all electronic files. Bridge types include but are not limited to trusses, single and multi-span reinforced concrete slabs, concrete rectangular and t-beams, corrugated metal pipe arches and precast box culverts. Field visits may be necessary to determine accurate section loss. All available plans, shop drawings and past load ratings will be made available. One paper copy and one electronic copy on a USB drive of Statements of Qualifications shall be submitted, single sided with no binding. Statements of Qualifications shall not be more than 10 pages including any cover letters.
