PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT Ohio Revised Code Section 153.67 The Board of Wood County Commissioners seeks a qualified engineering firm to provide professional engineering services, including design, planning, compliance activities, environmental monitoring and operational support for the Wood County Landfill. Firms interested in being considered should reply with a Statement of Qualifications (“SOQ”) no later than 2:00 p.m. on December 9, 2024 . Statements received after this deadline will not be considered. Statements of qualifications should include information regarding the firm’s history; education and experience of key technical personnel the technical expertise of the firm’s current staff; the firm’s experience in providing general engineering, design, planning, compliance activities, environmental monitoring and operational support at municipal solid waste landfills in the state of Ohio; availability of staff; recent and relevant references; description of any previous work performed for Wood County and any other similar, relevant work experience. Interested firms must submit one (1) hard copy and one (1) electronic copy on a USB drive of their SOQ in a sealed envelope to the Board of Wood County Commissioners, Attn: Aimee Chafins, Fiscal Manager, One Courthouse Square, Office Building 5th Floor, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. The envelope should be plainly marked on the outside “ STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS – WOOD COUNTY LANDFILL ENGINEERING 2025. ” As required by Ohio Revised Code Sections 153.65-.73, responding firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications. Following this evaluation, the Board of Wood County Commissioners will enter into contract negotiations with the most qualified firm. Name of Project :  Statement of Qualifications - Wood County Landfill Engineering Services 2025 Location : 15320 Tontogany Road, Bowling Green, OH 43402 Description of Project : The County is seeking a qualified engineering firm to provide engineering services at the Wood County Landfill. These services shall include general engineering, design, planning, compliance activities, environmental monitoring and operational support. A non- exhaustive list of required services include: (1) Preparation of the Annual Report and Operating Record update; (2) Preparation of the Air Permit Evaluation Report and submission to the Ohio EPA; (3) Submission of the Quarterly and Semi-Annual Deviation Reports; (4) Routine environmental monitoring related to groundwater, explosive landfill gas, surface water/NPDES, and leachate programs to maintain Ohio EPA compliance; (5) Monitoring groundwater well redevelopment, maintenance and decommissioning and replacement as needed, and updating Groundwater Sampling Plan; (6) Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plan monthly inspections and form completion; (7) Engineering and Operations / Compliance support as directed by the facility; (8) Planning and Engineering tasks that may be required for the newly constructed Cell 1A.
