Resolution No. 3910 Passed July 6, 2026 RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO PROCEED TO SUBMIT TO THE ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF BOWLING GREEN, OHIO, THE QUESTION OF A RENEWAL WITH AN INCREASE TAX IN EXCESS OF THE 10 MIL LIMITATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVING 2.95 MILS FOR PARKS AND RECREATION PURPOSES IN THE CITY OF BOWLING GREEN. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWLING GREEN, OHIO THAT: SECTION 1: For the purpose of providing funds for parks and recreation purposes for the City of Bowling Green, it is necessary to approve a renewal with an increase tax at 2.95 mils on each dollar of tax valuation of the taxable property within the City of Bowling Green, and that it is necessary to levy such tax outside the limitations imposed by Section 2, Article XII, of the Ohio Constitution, and that said tax renewal with an increase request shall be submitted to the electors of the City of Bowling Green at the General Election to be held on the first Tuesday of November, 2026, in order that said tax levy shall be placed on the duplicate effective January 1, 2026, and collected on and after January 1, 2027 and thereafter for a total of five (5) years. SECTION 2: The Clerk of Council of the City of Bowling Green is hereby directed to certify a copy of this Resolution to the Auditor of Wood County and the Director of the Board of Elections of Wood County all as required by Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 3: This resolution shall take effect at the earliest time permitted by law.
